Family Therapy: Strengthening Connections & Healing Together
At K.E.L.L.Y. Youth Services, we recognize the critical role of family support in a child’s emotional and behavioral development. Our family therapy program is offered on a continuous, as-needed basis, ensuring both the client and their family receive the guidance, support, and tools necessary to rebuild and strengthen relationships.
We utilize the Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) model, an evidence-based approach that addresses the multiple impacts of trauma while prioritizing the client's safety, developmental needs, and emotional well-being. Whenever possible and in the client’s best interest, families are actively involved in all aspects of care to foster healing and long-term stability.
Key Components of Family-Centered Therapy:
✔ Facilitating Meaningful Connections – Encouraging regular contact between the client and their family, including siblings, to maintain and strengthen relationships.
✔ Active Family Involvement – Providing families with guidance, education, and emotional support throughout the client’s placement at KYS.
✔ Ongoing Support & Aftercare – Offering continued outreach, resources, and counseling to ensure long-term success for both the client and their family.
By integrating family participation into the therapeutic process, we help rebuild trust, improve communication, and create a foundation for lasting emotional and behavioral growth.
