Dr. Carmela Daniels, DSW, LISW-S
Dr. Carmela G. Daniels, DSW, LISW-S, is a distinguished social worker with over 20 years of experience, holding a Doctorate in Social Work from Capella University and degrees from Florida International University, Capital University, and Sinclair Community College. She is a licensed clinical social worker in Ohio and in addition to K.E.L.L.Y Youth Services, Dr. Daniels currently serves at the Department of Veterans Affairs in Dayton, OH, where she has held various roles including Caregiver Support Coordinator and Residential Clinical Social Worker.
Dr. Daniels leads Dr. Carmela Daniels Mentoring & Counseling, LLC, offering mentoring, coaching, and public speaking. As an adjunct professor, she teaches and develops social work courses at multiple academic levels. Her contributions to the field have earned her several accolades, such as the 2022 NASW Region 7 Social Worker of the Year and the 2021 Community Gem by The Dayton Daily News.
Dr. Daniels is actively involved in her community, holding leadership positions in various organizations. She is a dedicated mother of two and enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
