During this Black History Month, we reflected on the incredible stories of resilience, strength, and success of Black Historical and Influential Figures in Foster Care. 🌟

Throughout February, we highlighted:

Simone Biles – Olympic gymnast who overcame foster care to become a global champion.

Malcolm X – Civil rights leader who turned adversity into activism.

Tiffany Haddish – Comedian and actress who uses her platform to support foster youth.

Darryl “DMC” McDaniels – Hip-hop legend who became an advocate for adoption and foster care.

Louis Armstrong – Jazz icon whose time in a boys’ home led him to music greatness.

Colin Kaepernick – Athlete and activist raised by adoptive parents who fights for social justice.

Eddie Murphy – Comedy legend who experienced foster care before reuniting with his mother.
